About me

Hi there! My name is Eunice. I'm a fun-loving aspiring polyglot originally from New York City. Languages have always fascinated me and I love exploring their beauty with my students through natural conversations. Every class is designed to spark your curiosity and build your confidence. Shy and nervous students are welcome!

When I'm not teaching online, you'll find me reading, working on my Korean language skills or planning my next trip. I love meeting new people from different countries and learning about their culture. Currently I'm exploring India and learning Hindi.

I have 10 years of experience teaching Haitian Creole and English online and in-person. I hold a BA in Linguistics (with a minor in Korean Studies), have studied French, and I’m TESOL certified.

I specialize in helping people of Haitian heritage—from children to adults—who never had the opportunity to learn Haitian Creole, as well as professionals who want to communicate more naturally and confidently. I also focus on accent improvement and real-life conversational Haitian Creole.

My teaching style is flexible but structured. Rather than just "chat", I actively guide your progress with immediate feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, which I always write out for review.

Lessons are based on your interests, often organized around themes to help you build and reuse vocabulary. If you want extra support, I also use real-world materials like podcasts, articles, videos, and TV clips, as well as more structured lesson plans with clear curriculum options.
